Happy New Year!! Oh wait, that
was two weeks ago, wasn’t it? Yeah, I’m
having a hard time getting motivated in this new year. Enough excuses from me. Did you write or
commit to any new year’s resolutions?
Truthfully, I wrote my resolutions but didn’t really get around to doing
anything about them until this week. I
guess I needed to ease into the new year routines (at least that’s what I was
telling myself.)
So…how are you doing with your
commitments? Have you given up
already? Don’t fret if you’re
struggling. We get a new day, every single day, so, Happy New Year –
again!! Yep, just start over again today
and recommit as if it were January 1st. You never have to give up and feel like
you’ve totally thrown in the towel. Who cares if you mess up or make a mistake
or fall short of your goal? Just start
fresh again with your new day.
I hope you find encouragement in this
revelation. I know I’m going to start
fresh tomorrow with some of my resolutions myself. Let’s face it, we are all adults. Sometimes we need an extra person to hold our
hand or keep us accountable. Identify
that person you trust to keep you on track so when you feel like giving up,
your accountability partner will be pushing you out of your funk. I’m ready to attack 2013, are you?
FIRE! Joyce Meyer says to “Stop
putting a period where God places a comma.”
Choose one thing you are willing to commit to doing consistently. Work
toward your goal, every day this week.
I’ll keep you accountable if you need someone to check up on you. Let’s do this!
Be Excellent!
